1. Review Unit #11 In Annie’s Yard (pages 49~50) with CD#2, tracks 65~71.

2. Preview Unit #12 At the Park (pages 51~52) with CD#2, tracks 72~77.

3. Listen to CD#2 tracks 2~84 repeatedly.

2. Complete Exercise #3 (pages 150~164)

i) Complete the Parts I, II & III Reading Exercises – (pages 150~160)

ii) Complete the Writing Exercises (pages 161~164).

3. Complete Writing Exercise #1 on page 181 from the new textbook. You are welcome to word-process your exercise and E-mail it to winstontaiwan@gmail.com no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2009/04/30.

4. Complete Unit #1 The Chinese Calendar 1 (pages 1~8) from the new textbook.

i) Listen to the MP3 file for this unit.

ii) Word-process each “listening” vocabulary on your electronic template as spelled out by Maggie, the Chinese translator. Please use the new electronic template, which you will receive via e-mail. Do not use the old template. Thank you.

iii) In your own words, word-process one sentence using each of the “listening” vocabulary contextually. As always, do not use a dictionary.

iv) Listen to all 20 of the “vocabulary sentences” provided near the end of the unit just before the Listening Comprehension Questions.

v) Word-process any three “vocabulary sentences” on your new electronic template.

vi) E-mail ii) + iii) + v) to winstontaiwan@gmail.com no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2009/04/30.

vii) While listening to the MP3 file, pay attention to Nathan and Ashley’s conversation and keep in mind the following questions:

ix) Complete the exercises on pages 6~8.

5. Look at Story#2 The Butterfly comic strips and the accompanying story. Each letter is the first letter of a word and each line represents one single sentence. Each comic matches one sentence. Therefore, there are nine comics with nine corresponding sentences.

i) Word-process your nine sentences telling the story using the present simple tense

ii) E-mail i) to winstontaiwan@gmail.com as an attachment in WORD no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2009/04/30.

6. Examine the hidden picture puzzle, Puppies, Puppies, Puppies. Identify and color the 14 objects embedded in the image. Bring your hidden picture puzzle to the class on 2009/05/02 to discuss your findings. Be prepared to describe the location of the objects using appropriate prepositional phrases.
