2009/09/19 Saturday—10:00~12:00 GEPT Junior 全民英檢初級班


1. Complete Unit #12 Introducing Taiwan: Having A Good Time (pages 65~69).
i) Listen to the MP3 file for this unit.
ii) Word-process each “listening” vocabulary on your electronic template as spelled out by Frances, the Chinese translator.
iii) In your own words, word-process one sentence using each of the “listening” vocabulary contextually. As always, do not use a dictionary.
iv) Listen to all 18 of the “vocabulary sentences” provided near the end of the unit just before the Listening Comprehension Questions.
v) Word-process the following six “vocabulary sentences” on your electronic template: #4, #8, #10, #12, #17 and #18.
vi) E-mail ii) + iii) + v) to winstontaiwan@gmail.com no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2009/09/24.
vii) While listening to the MP3 file, pay attention to Nathan and Lea’s conversation and keep in mind the following questions:
01. Who were the first people to live in Taiwan?
02. What does the teacher say becomes more and more beautiful every day?
03. How many people make a group?
04. Who wrote the book Sense and Sensibility?
05 Who tells people what to do in a movie?
viii) Complete the Reading Comprehension Questions on page 66.
ix) Complete the exercises on pages 68~69.

6. Prepare for a spelling dictation quiz for Word Lists #9 and #9a: bit, let, tub, lick, sniff, soft, frog, luck, cup, not, grip, pack, grin, swell, west, peep, horn, pork, sweet, street. iv) In your own words, word-process one sentence using no more than any nine of the “listening” vocabulary contextually on your electronic template.
