1. Complete Exercise #1 (pages 1~10) in the exercise booklet.

i) Listen to the MP3 file for Part I & II — Listening Exercises (pages 1~3)

ii) Complete the Part III — Reading Exercise (pages 3~6)

iii) Do not complete Part IV — Speaking Exercises (pages 6~7). We will do it together on 2010/10/30.

iv) Complete Part V, VI, VII, VIII — Writing Exercises (pages 7~9).

v) Complete Part IX — Composition Exercise. You are welcome to e-mail your composition to winstontaiwan@gmail.com no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2010/10/29.

2. Prepare for a spelling dictation quiz for er/ir/ur—letter words: Word List #5 & 5a: bird, sister, burst, winter, girl, burnt, third, turnip, shirt, clever, first, blister, dirt, stir, turn, diver, thirsty, church, curl, later.
