WLC Homework Assigned on 2007/11/03

2007/11/03 Saturday—09:45 ~ 11:45 Children’s English兒童英語班
1) Review Review 1 (pages 16 & 17) with the CD.
i) Play and listen to CD (Review 1) repeatedly.
2) Preview Unit 4, At a Restaurant (pages 18~21).
i) Play and listen to CD (Unit #4) repeatedly.
3) Complete the exercise in the blue writing notebook.
4) Complete the phonics worksheets (Bb, Pp, Tt)
5) Bring your textbook, blue notebook and phonics worksheets to class.

i) Listen to the MP3 file for the Part I &II Listening Exercises.
ii) Complete the Part III Reading Exercise
iii) Do not complete the Part IV Communicative Interaction Response Exercise. We will do this during class.
iv) Complete the Part V, VI, VII Writing Exercises.
v) Complete the Part VIII Composition Exercise.
2) Examine the Hidden Picture, “Treasure in the Attic” Identify and color the 12 objects imbedded in the image. Write the list of items that you identified on the back of the hidden picture or on a separate piece of paper. Bring your Hidden Picture and list to class on 2007/11/10 to discuss your findings.

ii) Word-process your list of “listening” vocabulary on your electronic template as spelled out by Daisy, the Chinese translator.
iii) In your own words, word-process one sentence using each “listening” vocabulary contextually.
iv) E-mail to winstontaiwan@gmail.com by 2007/11/08.
v) While listening to the MP3 file, pay attention to David and Jody’s conversation and keep in mind the following questions:
1. What was in the entry of the office building?
2. What does David not suggest as an example of something that is international?
3. In David’s example, what kind of thing might you break in?
4. What did Jody say she has participated in?
5. What kind of competition did Jody’s friend win?

Write the first sentence, then directly below, re-write it again using a different style but retaining the original meaning of the first sentence. The intention here is to expand your repertoire of writing styles. For example, the “listening” vocabulary is “goal”. You will now write two sentences using the word “goal”. See the two sentence variations below:
