1. Please bring both the textbook and the exercise book to class on 2008/10/06 下週一上課請帶課本及習作本。

2. You are welcome to complete the exercises on page 32 in your textbook. We will discuss the correct responses on 2008/10/06.請完成課本第32頁練習題。

3. The vocabulary from the two hidden picture puzzles are listed below.以下是本次課堂上兩個 hidden picture的單字。

Hidden Picture #1 (15 items): 2 artist’s brushes, egg, hot dog, lollipop, mushroom, slice of pizza, sock, tube of paint, banana, bowl, candle, fountain pen, ice-cream cone, insect, spatula

Hidden Picture #2 (19 items): arrow, boomerang, butterfly, crescent moon, fork, slice of pie, snake, spoon, toothbrush, banana, fishhook, heart, golf club, key, needle, pencil, sailboat, seashell, tack

4. Thank you all for participating in the Great Hidden Picture Contest, Congratulations to our winners: Leo, Jerry and Mona! The twenty-seven items in this hidden picture are the following: mop, iron, sock, boat, shoe, comb, vase, swan, spur, bottle, banana, button, penguin, lollipop, doughnut, mushroom, sombrero, coffeepot, spaceship, wristwatch, ski cap, duck’s head, little fish, candy cane, cowboy hat, pair of shorts, pair of binoculars

5. On Monday, October 6^th, we will discuss the answers for Review #2 in the Exercise Book. You are welcome to do the following: 下週一英語課要做習作本的練習二，本週末請預先做練習題。Complete Exercise #2 (pages 11~20)

i) Listen to the MP3 file for the Part I & II Listening Exercises (pages 11~12)

ii) Complete the Part III Reading Exercise –Vocabulary and Grammar (pages 13~16)

iii) Do not complete the Part IV Communicative Interaction Response Exercises (pages 16~17). We will do this during class on 2008/10/06. 預做練習時，請不要預做第16頁及第17頁的Part IV單元，該單元我們會在10月6日課堂上一齊練習。

iv) Complete the Part V, VI, VII Writing Exercises (pages 17~19).完成第17頁到第19頁的寫作練習。

v) Complete the Part IX Composition Exercise (page 20). 完成第20頁段落寫作練習。

6. You are welcome to participate in the “Great Hidden Picture Contest.” Find the twenty items embedded in The Bagel and Pretzel Bakery picture. E-mail your wordlist to winstontaiwan@gmail.com by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2008. We will announce the winner(s) during Monday’s class on 2008/10/06. 歡迎學員們參加 Hidden Picture 找圖比賽，請把找出來圖案的英文單字在 10/05 晚上 11：59 以前傳到我們電子信箱中，最早而且單字正確最多的為優勝者，我們會在下週一上課時公布答案及優勝者。
