iii) In your own words, word-process one sentence using any five of the “listening” vocabulary contextually. As always, do not use a dictionary.

iv) Listen to all 14 of the Vocabulary Sentences provided near the end of the unit just before the Listening Comprehension Questions.

v) Word-process any three vocabulary sentences on your electronic template.

3. Examine the hidden picture puzzle, A Unique View. Identify and color the 25 objects embedded in the image. Bring your hidden picture puzzle to the class on 2008/12/13 to discuss your findings. Be prepared to describe the location of the objects using appropriate prepositional phrases.

5. Complete the phonics worksheet for Mm: meal, menu, man, summer, swim.

6. Make your fifth set of 12 food flash cards (pancakes, peach, peanut butter, pie, pizza, popcorn, raisins, rice, salad, soda pop, soup, spaghetti). Cut out all of the squares. Match, paste or tape the small food pictures on the back of the larger picture squares that have no words.

7. Look at the hidden picture puzzle. Find and color the letter “M”, 5 mice, 2 monkeys, 2 mushrooms, 2 men’s faces, 2 mops, and 1 mitten. Bring your hidden picture puzzle to the next class on 2008/12/13 to talk about what you did.

8. Bring your textbook, blue printing notebook, plastic folder, and brown envelope with your 60 food flash cards to class on 2008/12/13.

vi) Complete the Part 2 Communicative Interaction Exercise on page 20. Self-correct the exercise with your MP3 file.

4. Using your MP3 file, listen to the passage from Unit #8 Flowers For Mother’s Day (page 22) repeatedly and read aloud the passage until you master your recitation with perfect pronunciation and perfect fluency. You will recite the passage in class on 2008/12/20. Your recitation will be recorded and analyzed. Practice! Practice! Practice!

5. Examine the hidden picture puzzle, In Lincoln’s Office. Identify and color the 30 objects embedded in the image. Two of the 30 objects are the same item. Bring your hidden picture puzzle to the class on 2008/12/13 to discuss your findings. Be prepared to describe the location of the objects using appropriate prepositional phrases.

6. Complete Word Review #6 in 504 Absolutely Essential Words. Do not complete the exercise requested in Part F. Bring your completed exercise to the next class on 2008/12/13.
