2009/04/18 Saturday—09:45~11:45 Children’s English 兒童英語班

1. Review Unit #11 In Annie’s Yard (pages 47~48) with CD#2, tracks 59~64.

2. Preview Unit #11 In Annie’s Yard (pages 49~50) with CD#2, tracks 65~71.

3. Listen to CD#2 tracks 2~71 repeatedly.

4. 請寫藍色字母練習本上作業,** dad ** friend ** nice ** meet ** Hello ** rid ** bike ** climb ** tree ** drive **,每個字各寫3遍。

5. Color and complete the phonics worksheet for Cc/Kk: castanets, cat, clog, tractor, clock, kitten, king, kite, skip. Bring it back to the next class on 2009/04/25.

6. Look at the picture of the girl making the letter “C” She has a cat and two chocolate chip cookies. Color it and bring it back to the next class on 2009/04/25.

7. Look at the picture of the two girls making the letter “K” One of the girls is holding a key. Color it and bring it back to the next class on 2009/04/25.

8. Bring your textbook, blue printing notebook, homework, and plastic folder to class on 2008/04/25.

1. Complete Exercise #3 (pages 139~164)

i) Listen to the MP3 file for Part III Listening Exercise (pages 146~149)

ii) Complete the Parts I, II & III Reading Exercises – (pages 150~160)

iii) Complete the Writing Exercises (pages 161~164).

2. Complete Writing Exercise #1 on page 181 from the new textbook. You are welcome to word-process your exercise and E-mail it to winstontaiwan@gmail.com no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2009/04/23.

3. Examine the hidden picture puzzle, Puppies, Puppies, Puppies. Identify and color the 14 objects embedded in the image. Bring your hidden picture puzzle to the class on 2009/04/25 to discuss your findings. Be prepared to describe the location of the objects using appropriate prepositional phrases.

2009/04/18 Saturday—18:00~20:00 GEPT Advanced Intermediate 全民英檢中級進階班

1. Complete Test#9 GEPT Rehearsal Test (Part 2 Reading Section). Please record your responses (A, B, C, D) on your test paper as well as the answer sheet. We will continue discussing the correct answers beginning with question #39 on 2009/04/25.

2. Complete Unit #8 Matthew Lien’s Journey (pages 21~23).

i) Listen to the MP3 file for this unit.

ii) Word-process each “listening” vocabulary on your electronic template as spelled out by Grace, the Chinese translator. Please word-process all of the words regardless if they are spelled out once or twice or if the words come from the dialogue.

iii) In your own words, word-process one sentence using any seven of the “listening” vocabulary contextually. As always, do not use a dictionary.

iv) E-mail ii) + iii) to winstontaiwan@gmail.com no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2009/04/23.

vii) While listening to the MP3 file, pay attention to Richard and Dana’s conversation and keep in mind the following questions:

01. What does Richard say “enlightening” someone is like?

02. Which wilderness has Richard visited?

03. Why does Richard say that many people go to talk to elders?

04. What form of the word “dive” does Dana say she likes?

05. What kind of classes does Richard say many people in North America take?

4. Examine the hidden picture puzzle, Playing For Keeps. Identify and color the 14 objects embedded in the image. Bring your hidden picture puzzle to the class on 2009/04/25 to discuss your findings. Be prepared to describe the location of the objects using appropriate prepositional phrases.
