1. Complete Exercise #1 (pages 1~10) in the exercise booklet.

i) Listen to the MP3 file for Part I & II — Listening Exercises (pages 1~3)

ii) Complete the Part III — Reading Exercise (pages 3~6)

iii) Do not complete Part IV — Speaking Exercises (pages 6~7). We will do together on 2009/09/12.

iv) Complete Part V, VI, VII, VIII — Writing Exercises (pages 7~9).

v) Complete Part IX — Composition Exercise. You are welcome to e-mail your composition to winstontaiwan@gmail.com no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2009/09/10.

2. Using your MP3 file, listen and read the passage on page 11 of your textbook repeatedly (over and over). Read aloud the passage repeatedly until you master your recitation. You are invited to recite the passage in class on 2009/09/12. You are also invited to have your recitation recorded and analyzed. Practice! Practice! Practice!
