2009/09/19 Saturday—15:30 ~ 17:30 GEPT Basic 英檢基礎班


1. Complete Unit #7 Thinking Healthy (pages 17~18).
i) Listen to the MP3 file for this unit.
ii) On your electronic template, word-process the five sentences provided by David and Treva at the beginning of the unit.
iii) On your electronic template, word-process all of the “listening” vocabulary as spelled out by Julia, the Chinese translator.
iv) In your own words, word-process one sentence using no more than any nine of the “listening” vocabulary contextually on your electronic template.
v) E-mail ii) + iii) + iv) to winstontaiwan@gmail.com no later than 11:59 p.m. on 2009/09/24.
vi) While listening to the MP3 file, pay attention to David and Treva’s conversation and keep in mind the following questions:
01. Why did one teacher say “sorry” to the other teacher?
02. The teacher said she would be lucky if what happened?
03. What does the teacher say he does not eat much?
04. What is the last movie that the teacher saw?
05. Who does the teacher say you might go see with your mother?

It time eight o’clock. Hi,Tim. What happened with you? You look very tired. I have a good idea. Do you want to drink hot herbal tea? The tea is good for you, when you are tired. Yes, I do. Thank you; give me a cup of the one, please. So Tim went to school this morning, writes notes and studies lessons very energy in class. (65)

It’s eight o’clock in the morning. Mother asked Tim what happened because he looked very tired. Mother had a good idea. She asked Tim if he wanted to drink herbal tea. Mother said that the tea is good for him when he is tired. Tim said that he wanted some tea and thanked her. He drank one cup of the herbal tea. Later that morning, Tim went to school. He studied hard, wrote many notes, and had lots of energy. (80)
